Getting to know Uchechi Alozie

My name is Uchechi Alozie, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. My approach to therapy involves seeing my clients within their environment, not just focusing on the issues they present. I strive to support my clients holistically. I have worked with family units for more than 10 years and have supported individuals with chronic mental illness for 6 years. I am experienced in working with families with diverse dynamics. With a background in child welfare services, I am very familiar with the trauma that arises from familial interpersonal relationships. Additionally, I have worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting, supporting individuals suffering from debilitating chronic mental illness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help clients by determining what is influencing and impacting the client in their environment rather than looking just at the presenting issues.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She makes it easy for me to express myself
Fantastic person! Really listens to everything and doesn't steer the conversation in a way she wants to. Has fantastic feedback!
I'm excited when it's time to see Uchechi, because I know she's going to listen to what I have to say and give me good feedback. I feel a sense of comfort that I don't feel with my Oncologist.
Uchechi Alozie hears me, even when I might not ear myself. She often draws my attention to something I have glossed over that is, in fact, the problem.
Uchechi enables me to understand myself and others more through her holistic communication skills. I appreciate the detailed discussions we have about my problems, and I am empowered when she guides me to a solution. She is an engaging, respectful, and good-natured therapist!
She’s good.
Uchechie does a nice job challenging both me and my partner to get to the heart of what is happening and try to understand and address the underlying need.
Even though I didn't select it, Uchechi is very open minded and makes sure you are feeling comfortable and safe while speaking and sharing. Meeting with her always brings a smile to my face. :D
I’ve had one meeting so far. I felt comfortable throughout the meeting, which has not been my typical first-time experience seeing therapists. I’m excited for the continuing support and growth!
