Psychotherapist
OH
Congratulations on taking the first step in your therapeutic journey. I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I focus on creating a safe space where we can collaborate to achieve your goals. Please feel free to reach out when you are ready to begin. My approach I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), incorporating rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to teach skills that reshape unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotions, improve communication, and increase control over behaviors. For clients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who want to specifically process trauma, I also practice trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT). This approach includes psychoeducation about trauma, techniques to reduce anxiety, creating a narrative about the trauma, and processing the thoughts and feelings related to past experiences and their impact today. For clients who prefer not to discuss trauma directly, we can still work together on techniques to overcome trauma and related anxiety, depression, and anger. Therapy is a partnership where you choose the techniques and approaches you want to engage in. My focus Throughout my career, I have been inspired by the positive growth and changes I witness in clients. Therapy can provide a safe and confidential space to process and reflect on managing daily life more effectively. It can also be a place to learn how to manage severe emotional distress. My communication style I provide active listening to ensure I understand you and offer feedback in a supportive manner. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Kent State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you on your journey.
