Hi there, I'm Vanessa! Welcome to Johnson Counseling Services! I am Vanessa Johnson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia since 2007. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University (c/o 2002) and my Master's in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University (c/o 2004). I have worked in a variety of therapeutic environments with children, adolescents, families, and adults. My approach I use a cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approach to therapy. I believe in exploring how our thoughts and beliefs relate to our emotions and actions to create meaningful change. My focus I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, including young children developing social and communication skills, adolescents managing mood or behavioral challenges, young adults navigating work and adulthood, as well as those facing parenting and relationship issues.
