Hi! I'm Vanessa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I'm a first-generation immigrant based in San Diego, CA. Originally from South East Asia, I've worked and lived in Singapore, Taiwan, and Buffalo, NY. I love cooking, board game nights, heated blankets, and playing fetch with my dog! My approach I love the storytelling of my clients-there's so much to be learned from the life experiences we have, the minute details that stick with us after all these years, and the takeaways from each life circumstance. My focus I typically work with teenagers, couples, and young adults. I have been practicing since 2015, and my areas of focus are relationships-familial, romantic, platonic. I believe our core relationships are foundational to the self and inform the ways in which we make life decisions and choose the people we choose. My communication style Throughout our time together, I'm going to be real with you, and I hope you will be with me too. Think of me like a teammate, fostering a supportive space for you to feel open to tapping into things that may feel difficult to tackle alone. We feel what we feel, and I will honor that.
