Getting to know Veronica Nealis

Veronica Nealis treats patients between the ages of 5 and 50 years old. As a counselor, it is my job to see and understand people as individuals and to help them find the strength within that can so easily become forgotten. I draw from various schools of thought such as REBT, CBT, and DBT, depending on the needs of the individual. My approach is humanistic in nature, meaning that sessions are client-driven. I believe the journey to wholeness starts with taking time for self-discovery. I enjoy empowering individuals to find and work through their barriers to success. This approach is used when working with adults and adolescents, while I prefer to use play therapy methods when working with children. I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an in-home setting. Currently, I specialize in working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health issues. I consider myself a student of life. I love learning and discovering new things, often through reading and traveling. I am passionate about various cultures and art forms.
