Veronica Romo, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Veronica! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I focus on working with caregivers, adults and older adults, and individuals experiencing cognitive impairments. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move at your own pace toward healing and growth. My approach I use a mix of therapeutic approaches tailored to each person but specialize in somatic practices such as the Trauma Resilience Model (TRM) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support healing through a body-centered approach. My focus I work with adults facing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I also support individuals adjusting to cognitive or health-related diagnoses, helping them navigate these challenges. My communication style Working with me should feel comfortable and supportive. It's a non-judgmental space where you can show up as you are and move at your own pace. My journey to mental healthcare What led me to become a therapist is my deep belief in the power of human connection. I believe we're meant to be part of a community, supporting each other. Seeing the beauty in creating a supportive space for others to heal and grow is what keeps me passionate about the work I do. My goals for you When it comes to setting goals, I believe they should feel meaningful, realistic, and sustainable for you. We'll work together to find what feels right, not just what sounds good, so progress feels doable and aligned with your life-not overwhelming. My first session with you In our first session, I would like to get a sense of your story: what has shaped you, what's bringing you in, and what you are hoping for from therapy. I want to understand how I can best support you moving forward.
