Vicky's clinical background includes the Charlie Norwood VA where she worked with veterans of all ages with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. She then worked for a Community Service Board in Georgia, serving low SES populations and treating severe and persistent mental health issues. Vicky then moved to North Carolina where she has had the opportunity to work with geriatric populations on developmental stage issues, end of life issues, as well as dementia. Vicky completed her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology at Georgia Southern University and her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Augusta University. She has been trained in cognitive processing therapy (CPT), relaxation/mindfulness training, CBT, and substance abuse treatment.
