Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Victoria M. Marion, MSSA, LISW-S. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from Ursuline College and my master's degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University. With over 25 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each with their unique stories and challenges. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in empathy and understanding. My invaluable mentors encouraged me to seek therapy myself, allowing me to truly grasp the courage it takes to share one's life experiences with a stranger. This personal journey has deepened my compassion and commitment to helping you navigate your own path. I believe in asking, 'What happened?' instead of 'What's wrong?' to better understand your experiences and provide the support you need. I specialize in treating addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, life transitions, military and veteran support, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, and trauma. My approach incorporates various therapy styles, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Integrated Trauma Treatment. For the past 15 years, I have had the honor of working with veterans who have faced chronic homelessness due to untreated substance use and mental health issues such as PTSD. This experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of compassionate, individualized care. I understand how daunting it can be to start this process, but I am here to support you every step of the way. Outside of my professional life, I am deeply committed to continuous learning and growth, both personally and professionally. My core values of empathy, respect, and dedication guide my practice and interactions with clients. Let's work together to get you back on the road to living and enjoying life. Reach out, and let's begin this journey together.
