Hi there, I'm Victoria! Hi! I'm Victoria Peña, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas. I earned my Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I've been practicing for about seven years, and I love working with adults who want to feel better about themselves and who they are as parents. The goal is always to help my clients achieve the outcomes they set out to reach—and sometimes even more than expected. My approach I take an energetic approach to discover which method works best for each individual, whether quick-paced and driven or more spacious and deep-rooted. I find that using mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy strikes a great balance for decreasing stress and anxiety while increasing long-term peace and joy. My focus I'm here to serve women with young kids who are tired of the exhaustion and emptiness they’ve become so good (or maybe not so good) at hiding. My clients love feeling needed by their families and watching their little ones grow but want to know how to be present for their family without sacrificing their own joy. Together, we can figure out how you can stay connected to yourself and navigate motherhood confidently. My communication style I like to meet all my clients with a warm and easy-going vibe. I believe it’s important to move at the pace most comfortable for each client, so it’s understood this is their time and they decide how to walk through this journey. My purpose is to listen unconditionally and sometimes ask challenging questions to help you move toward your goals. My journey to mental healthcare I didn’t always know I wanted to be a therapist, but when I found this career, I couldn’t deny my love for it. Since becoming licensed, I’ve dedicated the past several years to developing my approach to helping mamas build strong, loving bonds with their children so they can raise happy, resilient adults. As a mama myself, I understand this journey deeply.
