Victoria Walsh, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
I am an LPC in Georgia with a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University with 14 years of experience. I work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders who wish to develop coping skills to achieve more balance in their lives. I assist clients to feel more empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. My approach I use DBT in my treatment approach because it helps you recognize that your experiences are valid and teaches you to embrace who you are, despite challenges or tough situations. Relationships play a big role in DBT, especially the connection between you and your therapist. Throughout the process, I’ll work with you to transition from struggling with life's challenges to a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. DBT focuses on building four skill sets: two centered on acceptance and two focused on change. I use CBT to challenge negative thoughts and reshape responses to difficult situations. My focus Navigating daily life can be overwhelming for those who are struggling with a mood disorder such as bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety. At times, just getting your feet on the floor every day can be a challenge. My passion is to work with clients to develop the skills to overcome obstacles to develop practical skills to improve their quality of life. My communication style I am truly fascinated by the variety of human experiences and eager to discover more about my clients sitting before me. I am an attentive listener and do not judge what my clients share in therapy. I strive to create a safe and inviting place to share, so you feel comfortable opening up to allow me to take in who you are and how I can help. I adapt my approach for each individual client, and I am comfortable working in different therapy modalities and don’t hesitate to try something new. All these strengths assist with the process of developing a personalized plan that will work specifically to your issues.
