Vida Lowe, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I'm an expert in treating high-level anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, infertility, and relationship difficulties. As your therapist, I tailor my approach to match your needs for continuous change, symptom relief, growth, and to ignite personal transformation. I have always had a passion for therapy—I knew at 7 years old this was my calling. I studied Sociology as an undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I then earned my Master's degree in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, graduating in 2008. In addition to my Master’s degree, I have an added emphasis in Somatic Psychology, which is the study of the mind/body interface—the relationship between our physical matter and energy, and the interaction of our body structures with our thoughts and actions. I draw from a multitude of theories and coaching techniques to best support my clients. Therapy with me can be long-term or goal-oriented; I find both approaches have great advantages, and I let the client guide the process. I am truly invested in our relationship and care deeply when working with clients. I work in private practice and have served as a Clinical Supervisor for a nonprofit in the Bay Area. I appreciate private practice because it allows me to build deep, meaningful relationships that empower my clients and foster lasting change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
