Virginia Valdez, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I'm Virginia, and its an honor to support you on your healing journey. I work with people who are navigating life stressors, relationship problems, trauma, and major transitions, helping them build resilience and move toward the life they want to create. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow. In our first session together, you can expect a welcoming, conversational space where we’ll talk about what brings you here and what you’d like to get out of therapy. I’ll ask more questions at the beginning to better understand you, but you’re always free to skip anything you’re not ready to share. This is your time, and together we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on you. I believe that with the right support, we all have the capacity to grow and become better versions of ourselves. In our work together, I use a strength-based, person-centered approach—meaning we’ll focus on your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I often draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. For clients processing trauma or overwhelming experiences, I also offer Brain-spotting as a powerful tool for healing. I especially enjoy working with people who are facing life stressors, relationship problems, trauma, or major transitions. Together, we’ll focus on identifying your needs, processing experiences, building emotional resilience, and creating healthier relationships and boundaries.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
