I am a clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, focusing on holistic therapy for the mind, body, and soul. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness in my practice. My approach centers on talk therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy from a strength-based perspective. I am competent in working with veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, teenagers, young adults, men, athletes, and women who have experienced domestic violence. I create a positive, empathetic environment where clients can address their needs in a healthy, safe space. My journey to mental healthcare began with years of experience as a foster care social worker, where I gained insight into the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. I have also worked as a hospice medical social worker, providing support to caregivers of terminally ill loved ones. Additionally, I have provided therapy to many clients affected by domestic violence and male clients struggling with substance abuse and criminal addictive thinking. I have aided military veterans in diagnosing their trauma and providing Nexus letters for their discharge. My goals for you are developed collaboratively during sessions through treatment plans and are continuously assessed throughout the course of treatment.
