As an emotional health care provider, I take an integrated care approach when supporting my clients. This approach focuses on whole-person care that ensures the body-mind connection, as well as a trauma-informed approach to the client experience. I am LGBTQ+2A safe and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, life change issues, parenting, transitioned-aged youth, ADHD, dual diagnosis, school-related issues, intimate partner violence, couples counseling, grief/loss, PTSD, and mood disorders. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. My clinician skill set includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Parenting Support. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and serve as a Licensed Supervisor for incoming clinicians. Additionally, I hold a Doctor of Integrated Behavioral Health from Arizona State University. As a clinician, I believe that the client-counselor relationship is collaborative. My clients privilege me with access to their lives and are the experts of their experiences, coming with strengths that we work to enhance and strengthen together. Embodying the body-mind connection of integrated care, we can prevent mental illness through the avenue of emotional health care in the same way we do for our physical health.
