Wesley Du, LMFT

Wesley Du, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Therapy can be fun, exciting, and healing! (With hopefully some good laughs along the way!) I'm Wesley Du (LMFT), and if you're struggling with feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, isolation, anxiety, or depression, I might be able to help. You may be carrying family trauma and cultural expectations that have deeply hurt you and lowered your self-esteem. I can empathize, as I have faced those same challenges too! I support people dealing with depression and anxiety by providing a safe space to fully express themselves authentically while being truly seen and heard. I help clients become more self-supportive by tapping into parts of themselves they may not have explored before. I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University, grounding my work in a Gestalt and CBT background. But what really causes change and growth in therapy is always the relationship between client and therapist. I prioritize that above all else. Are you someone who wants interaction, connection, and authenticity? Then I’m your guy! That’s what I value most in therapy. As an Asian American, I find working with people of similar racial backgrounds to be a great fit, especially teens and adults struggling with self-esteem, purpose, and cultural expectations. I help clients discover alternative ways to approach life that may challenge their current thinking and living. My goal is for clients to feel empowered to create the life they want and become the people they desire. I’m a very casual and laid-back kind of guy. I won’t bore you with jargon from graduate school. I believe therapy works best as a back-and-forth energy. I like to point out what I see in clients and ask if it resonates with them.
