Getting to know Whitney Johnson-Martin
Hi! I am so excited to learn more about how I can embark on the journey to wellness with all of my clients, but first, let me ask you a few questions
Have you noticed a change in how you feel mentally or emotionally an increase in stress due to life's circumstances a conflict in your relationships or are you questioning why you think and act in certain ways? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I am the right therapist to partner with you on your wellness journey! I strive to cultivate a healthy therapeutic environment for all of my clients to explore, grow, and actively pursue wellness by addressing past trauma, learning how to manage symptoms caused by anxiety and depression, developing tools to have healthier relationships, and increasing the self-awareness that is needed to live well.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Fullerton, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. I am rooted in faith and love to incorporate Christian principles into my practice for clients who also share the same beliefs. If you don't, I'd still love to work with you! I believe that my faith and genuine love for helping people will allow us to vibe well and work together towards whatever your therapeutic goals are.

What should a new client know about working with you?
After our initial appointment, I aim to have a better understanding of who you are and what your needs are for therapy. We will establish a workable goal, which will lead us into our future sessions. My process of therapy is guided by the goals that we set and always leaves room for flexibility because sometimes life changes, which means our therapy may need to shift directions to support where you presently are. Once we've worked together for a while, I hope that clients enter into and leave therapy knowing that they are heard, valued, and supported, while being held accountable to their goals in a caring way.
More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
