Allen earned his Bachelor's degree in 1994 from West Texas A&M University and began his career teaching in Garland ISD. He later pursued further education at Amberton University, where he earned his Master of Arts in School Counseling in 2014 and his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling in February 2020. Allen has worked with clients ranging from teens as young as 16 to adults in their 80s. He predominantly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existentialism, and Client-centered approaches to help clients create and maintain their best lives. Allen has supported individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, work-related challenges, health issues, and the unfairness of life. He has a passion for marriages and relationships and has written a paper titled "Understanding Love," exploring how the English language falls short in communicating and understanding the complexities of love. Allen has been married to his ?favorite' wife for 39 years, has three grown children, and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, woodturning, and is learning archery.
