What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and supportive process. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is insight oriented and practical, blending psychodynamic therapy with cognitive behavioral strategies to help you better understand yourself while also developing tools to manage symptoms in everyday life. I focus on helping clients explore their internal world—how past experiences, patterns, and relationships influence present challenges. Together, we work on building self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and changing unhelpful thought patterns. I believe that meaningful change happens when we improve our relationship with ourselves, which can lead to reduced anxiety, depression, and emotional distress. Sessions are structured yet flexible, and therapy is tailored to your individual goals. Whether you are navigating trauma, stress, mood concerns, or life transitions, my goal is to support you with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based care while empowering you to create lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by getting to know you as a whole person your history, current concerns, goals for therapy, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. Early sessions focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and developing a shared understanding of the patterns, experiences, and stressors that may be contributing to your concerns. Sessions are typically conversational and collaborative. We may explore current challenges, emotional reactions, past experiences, and relational patterns while also identifying practical strategies to support symptom management. I integrate psychodynamic insight with cognitive behavioral techniques to help you better understand yourself and make meaningful changes in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses. As therapy progresses, our work becomes more focused on your goals. For clients working through trauma, I use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, stabilization, and pacing. Sessions are tailored to your needs and may include reflection, skill-building, and processing experiences in a supportive, structured environment. Throughout treatment, I regularly check in to ensure therapy feels helpful and aligned with your goals, adjusting our approach as needed to support lasting growth and emotional well-being.
