Hi there, I'm Yahsemin! Hello, my name is Yahsemin Lennan. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cambridge College. I am committed to working with couples, individuals, and young adults who are facing some of life’s challenges and experiencing conflict in their relationships. I have experience supporting people who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, and trauma. My approach My approach to therapy is individualized to meet your needs. I draw from person-centered, cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method. In addition, I utilize brainspotting. My focus I work with both individuals and couples, although I have a sweet spot for working with couples. I support couples in increasing understanding, affection, building trust, respect, and managing conflict within the relationship. I assist individuals in developing problem-solving skills, changing problem behaviors, and enhancing coping strategies. My communication style My communication style is calm, welcoming, and personable. I meet my clients where they are by offering a judgment-free environment where clients can explore growth and healing. My goals for you My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together and discussing what you would like the outcome of therapy to be. I will walk alongside you and create goals that are achievable along with in-session and out-of-session tasks to practice learned skills. My first session with you Our first session will be about getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. This will consist of my asking questions to understand the issues from your point of view and allowing you to ask any questions you might have about the therapy process or my approach.
