Hello, I'm Yalanda, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Endorsement (LPCC-S) in the State of Ohio. I earned my Master of Rehabilitation Counseling with concentrations in Mental/Health and Chemical Dependency from Wright State University, and a Master of Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University. Currently, I'm working towards my dissertation for my Doctorate of Public Policy and Administration with a double concentration in Health Services and Criminal Justice from Walden University. Throughout my career in human services, I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations of all ages in various environments. From providing parenting training and family therapy in clients' homes to working in suburban school districts with children, adolescents, and families, I've gained extensive experience in different settings. Additionally, I've worked in adolescent and adult outpatient and residential facilities, hospitals, and correctional facilities. I believe that with guidance and non-judgmental support in a comfortable and safe environment, individuals can develop self-awareness and the skills needed to overcome life's stressful events and challenges. My approach is centered on creating a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I specialize in helping clients navigate issues related to stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, anger management, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, family relationships, grief and bereavement, and multicultural/diversity issues. Whether through in-person sessions or via SonderMind Video Telehealth, I'm here to support you on your journey to mental wellness. If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and personal growth, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards achieving your goals and improving your overall well-being.
