Getting to know Yamilee Bosah
I believe that all people deserve a place to feel safe, be heard, and be seen. Therapy has done that for me, and I hope to do that for others. Being vulnerable is the biggest and strongest gift you can give yourself. Therapy will allow you to fully embrace who you are. On our journey together, I hope to help you uncover your greatest self. I have worked with individuals who struggle with constant worry about life, those who have lost all hope, individuals who have lost meaningful relationships, and those navigating life transitions including career changes, postpartum care, and life stressors. Begin this step toward your healing. I use an integrative approach drawn from different evidence-based techniques that can help you achieve your goals. I will be with you every step of the way.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the Catholic University of America. Throughout the years, my experiences have helped me develop a well-rounded understanding of how to work cross-culturally in treating the whole person—physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During our first session, in the first half I will get to know you and what brought you to therapy. Expect to go over the initial intake forms completed and come with questions, if you have them. We will then start where you are and explore your own goals for therapy together. I typically will meet with you once a week for a few weeks, and we can re-evaluate together how often you would like sessions moving forward. This is your time to let your guard down and share with me the expectations you have of me as your therapist. In ongoing sessions, expect me to listen to you and also provide you feedback on patterns I have noticed and ways to navigate situations. Know that we will have moments of laughter and silence. We are in this together, you are not alone.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
