Psychotherapist
17772 Irvine Blvd, Ste 209, Tustin, CA
Yasmeen Pardo is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their CA license number is 142036, and their current employer is Moxie Family Therapy. Yasmeen earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. Reaching out for help is often the most difficult step. We may think, “Why wasn’t I strong enough to deal with this on my own?” or “What is wrong with me?” We may downplay our experiences, thinking, “There are others who have it worse,” or “I’m just being dramatic.” It’s okay to have these thoughts and to realize we can’t do it all alone. As your therapist, I support you in all aspects of the human experience—especially those that make us question ourselves. Whether feelings of shame, grief, inadequacy, or something else challenging to name, I will guide you gently through. I utilize empathy, compassion, and gentle curiosity in the therapy room. As a collaborator, I help you explore and discover while allowing you to set the pace for your journey. As a companion, I am by your side when difficult emotions arise—guiding you through coping mechanisms, providing resources, and strengthening support systems. I believe everyone has within themselves what they need to live a satisfying life. My role is to help you uncover what is already within. I use a Solution-Focused approach to highlight strengths and identify small steps toward healing and change. I also integrate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and IFS to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. As a Latina and descendant of immigrants, I am passionate about intergenerational healing and breaking cycles. I take an inclusive approach, considering social, political, cultural, and economic contexts when exploring family stories and histories.
