Hi there, I'm Yesica! Hello! My name is Yesica Valenton, and I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Clinical Counseling from California State University, San Bernardino. I am genuinely passionate about helping people improve their mental health and find healing. My approach My approach is client-centered, solution-focused, systems therapy, psychodynamic, and attachment therapy. In my practice, I integrate my Catholic-Christian worldview and provide pastoral guidance. My focus I aim to build a collaborative relationship with my patients. I am passionate about helping and working with families, individuals, couples, parents, and children. As a therapist, my focus is to provide therapeutic support by addressing the person's emotional and relational well-being while integrating science, faith, profession, and practice. My communication style I strive to create a compassionate and safe environment for all of my patients. My goal is to create a holding space where my patients feel comfortable, valued, and respected. My journey to mental healthcare I began my career in the mental health field by volunteering at different parishes, participating in various committees, and becoming involved in multiple pastoral groups. As a youth ministry leader, I witnessed people's need for healing and recovery from mental, behavioral, and emotional affliction. I was able to assist individuals experiencing pain and suffering by praying with them and counseling them. Over time, I realized that helping people as a therapist is a vocation I am called to fulfill.
