Getting to know Yessy Teran
I offer individual therapy grounded in an attachment-oriented framework, tailored to support a wide range of mental health concerns and personal challenges.
I specialize in supporting individuals and families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges. Much of my work has focused on people living with chronic medical conditions, including those impacted by HIV/AIDS, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. I also bring an attachment-based lens to therapy, helping clients explore how past relationships shape their current experiences. I am pursuing AASECT Sex Therapy certification (currently under supervision with Jacqueline Mendez, LMFT, CST, CSTS).
In our work together, we’ll explore how the past informs the present, while also focusing on building new, more secure patterns of connection, regulation, and self-understanding.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
