Getting to know Yiny Poveda

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing services in Florida and Utah. I received my Master's from the University of Central Florida and have been practicing for 15 years. I'm bilingual English-Spanish, and I'm EMDR and Hypnotherapy-trained. I enjoy helping adults who may be struggling with the aftermath of trauma or with the challenges of adapting during life transitions. My goal is to assist you in becoming your best version. My approach Together, we can face your experiences and start your journey toward healing and feeling happy, safe, and confident again. There is no quick fix or shortcut to becoming a whole, happy person again, but it is possible; it just takes time. It begins with the action you take right now after reading this. My focus love working with adults 18+ who are in need of support, coping with difficult times, maybe a trauma from the past, someone who wants to change but doesn't know how to, someone who perhaps just need to feel seen and heard, or someone who left their home country to seek the American dream. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and defeated. My communication style Having worked with a diverse group of adults, I've developed a unique skillset for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. As your therapist, I will help you interpret the messages your body is sending you, to understand what is happening to you, and to develop new skills to cope more efficiently with life challenges. My first session with you During the first session, we will get to know each other, and you will learn about my therapy style, confidentiality, and what to expect from me.
