Hi there, I'm Yoanna! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California, working with adults facing various life challenges such as anxiety, life stressors, depression, relationship problems, emotion dysregulation, and low self-esteem. Through collaboration, respect, and empowerment within the therapeutic relationship, my goal is to help you overcome challenges and improve your mental well-being. While I tailor my approach to each client's needs, I have found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy especially effective in helping clients process their experiences and develop useful tools for navigating life. My journey to mental healthcare After earning my B.A. in Social Work, I worked with vulnerable populations as a medical social worker and Victim Advocate for domestic violence survivors. These experiences inspired me to work directly with individuals, families, and small groups to address their unique challenges. This passion led me to pursue and complete my Master's in Social Work at California State University, Fresno.
