I also own a private practice offering counseling to people from multicultural backgrounds. Since 2006, my multicultural experience has extended from serving Holocaust survivors to incarcerated clients in three countries. I have worked with immigrant youth and families, students in various educational settings, and adult outpatients on conservatorship in Fresno County. My specialties include ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. Based on my extensive experience, I understand the impact of family systems, oppression, and community support on individuals. Before my current role, I was a counselor for students at Fresno Pacific University’s Seminary Department. I have counseled victims with mental health concerns for many years. My assessment skills and counseling techniques are strength-focused and recovery-oriented. I can also provide links to community resources to enhance service quality. I am a compassionate social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from York University. I have written a brief overview of my strengths to meet your needs. In these roles, I have established rapport, applied behavior modification techniques, conducted exposure and psychosocial assessments, and provided short-term skill coaching, clinical assessments, and treatment services to clients and families in various agencies. I focus on underappreciated populations because I want to share my lived experience as an immigrant woman who has struggled to adjust to new systems. She made a lot of assumptions right away, giving a serious diagnosis within the first meeting. She started basing all of her advice off of her initial assumptions made within the first hour of speaking to each other. She prides herself on calling people out when she is blatantly not listening to what they are saying.
