Getting to know Yula Chang

Hi there, I'm Yula! Hello, my name is Yula Chang, and I tend to utilize a holistic approach encompassing mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social aspects. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My experience has been helping individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, addictions, and relationship challenges using a variety of evidence-based practices. My approach The most common theoretical approaches I use are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, and emotional-focused therapy. My focus I have primarily helped adolescents, young adults, LGBTQIA individuals, adults suffering from chronic illness, and those facing relationship and women's issues. I feel most comfortable treating depression, anxiety, cultural stress, academic struggles, relationship problems, work-related stress, and other concerns. My communication style I provide a non-judgmental and collaborative environment. I strive to help my clients feel heard and supported. My journey to mental healthcare During my formative years, I faced significant adversity but was fortunate to work with compassionate counselors, social workers, therapists, and psychologists. Their support instilled in me a deep belief that change is always possible. When the time came, I chose to pursue a career as a therapist to help others attain their goals and become the person they want to be. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is collaborative and client-centered. My first session with you In our first session, we will explore your treatment needs and determine whether I could be of support to you.
