Getting to know Yvette Weeks

Hello! My name is Yvette Weeks, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from California Baptist College. My therapeutic approach is centered on fostering meaningful connections, emotional well-being, and personal growth. I work with individuals, children/adolescents, and families, focusing on a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, communication challenges, behavior issues, parenting challenges, and life transitions. I'm committed to helping others through their challenges to discover their strengths, learn new techniques, and create positive change. I believe that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and emotionally healthy life—in whatever way that looks like to the individual person or family. As a therapist who has personally experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety, I deeply understand the challenges and feelings that accompany these struggles. It is not always easy to seek support from others (believe me, I took a very long time to reach out to someone), and knowing that I can play a part in helping others feel better and do better drives me to continuously learn and provide the best possible care. It is an honor to be a therapist, and I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those I have the opportunity to work with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"During our first session, I will take the time to get to know you, your background, and your reasons for seeking therapy. We will talk about your goals and explore any current concerns or challenges. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and create a foundation for our therapeutic work together. We will discuss your aspirations and challenges, and I will guide you in setting realistic and achievable goals. Together, we will establish a roadmap to navigate the therapeutic journey, tracking progress and celebrating progress along the way. During our journey, I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment. I encourage open and honest communication, fostering a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. Working with me feels supportive and collaborative, as we embark on a journey of self-exploration and positive change."

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
