You may be living with an ache inside that won't go away —sadness, loneliness, even anger. You might feel blindsided by life and can't seem to find your footing. Or maybe you sense that something is missing and feel ready to explore whether a richer life is possible. If any of those sound familiar, you're in the right place. It takes courage even to imagine that a different way of being is possible, and that help from others might work. I enjoy being a therapist because I believe everyone deserves to feel like they matter. Your pain is more than a symptom, and your healing is more than a quick fix.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with people navigating depression and anxiety, grief and bereavement, addiction and recovery, complex trauma, identity and purpose, and with those exploring their relationship to religion and spirituality. I have particular experience helping queer, gay, and trans people, those in helping professions, and the chronically or terminally ill.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once you schedule an initial appointment with me, I will contact over email to confirm the day and time. I will then send you our initial paperwork for you to complete online before we meet. In our first session, you can let me know what brings you to therapy and how you hope it will help. We'll start getting a sense of whether it would be a good fit to work with each other. If we decide to continue working together, I'll suggest to meet at least weekly, so that we can have consistency in our work together. Sessions are 55 minutes long.

I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO plans. If you have this type of plan, we will submit insurance claims directly. You might be responsible for part of the cost if you have a deductible or a copay. We will try to verify benefits before our first appointment, so that we have an idea of what to expect. When contacting me, please remember to add a photo of your insurance card. If you have a different insurance provider (not BCBS PPO), you will be responsible for our full fee each session. We will provide you a bill that you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, provided that your plan has out-of-network benefits.
