Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Zane! Welcome, fellow travelers. Starting on your therapy journey can be both daunting and exciting. Please give yourself credit for having the courage to start this journey. I will make a strong effort to make this experience as safe, supportive, and productive as possible. I will encourage you to set goals and learn the skills that will help you achieve those goals. I see each client as having unique situations, needs, and tailor the sessions to fit your needs, while keeping your authenticity. Being cognisant of your goals, the pace you want to travel, and your overall growth and well-being, will be my goal. My approach My approach includes a sense of humor, when appropriate, and also a pragmatic view. Establishing trust and working together to make progress toward your goal is a top priority. I use a mix of treatments. Here are a few examples: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Imago Therapy, which is especially helpful for couples. Being able to assist you in identifying and choosing a treatment mode that gives you the skills and tools to attain your goal can be more important than the specific mode itself. Sometimes you can't resolve a problem completely, but most often you can improve the situation to a level of acceptance. My focus If you are experiencing any of the following situations, I would probably be able to assist you in a resolution or find acceptance with them: (1) If you are a couple constantly arguing without resolution, repeatedly hurting each other, lacking the ability to communicate, having an affair, considering divorce but still love each other. (1a) Experiencing a broken heart from a break-up or grieving the loss of someone or something important to you. (2) If you or a loved one has an active addiction (3) If you have an adult child that you can't launch (4) Care-taking a family member or difficult person (5) Problems at work. (6) Feeling depressed, anxious, or lonely.
