Getting to know Zatascha Burton

I am Zatascha Burton, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. As a therapist, I stay educated about best practices for working with my clients. I strive to create an affirming space for every community-helping individuals and young people identify and achieve their personal goals by coping with the issues causing them distress, anxiety, and stress. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013. For the past eight years, I have worked in Behavioral Health with adults and school-age children in the SE Georgia region, and I recently launched my private practice in 2020. I am thrilled to have found my passion in psychotherapy and helping others. From a deep desire in my heart to make a positive impact, I discovered that people need someone they can trust and talk to without judgment. This need fueled my drive to create a safe space for diverse cultures and populations.

What should a new client know about working with you?

What you can expect to take away from session is a great pride in my unwavering commitment to celebrating and supporting you and your Mental Health journey. I will recognize your invaluable contributions, resilience, and the unique challenges you may face. I firmly believe that there are numerous paths to embark on in one's journey, and I will meet you where you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
