Getting to know Zoe Avalon

We live in a demanding era in which the choices and pressures of everyday life can be overwhelming, causing both interpersonal and intrapersonal conflict. Therapy is a process of change, generating self-affirming thought patterns toward a hopeful and resilient future, a centered and balanced life. I offer a person-centered, strengths-based approach directed by the needs of the individual. I incorporate Mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Narrative Therapy in my work with clients. Therapeutic techniques vary depending on the individual. Every person is interesting, and I enjoy the journey of discovery, increasing insight, and finding solutions. I recognize that people are incredibly unique and have freedom of choice in all aspects of lifestyle, personal relationships, and family arrangements. I deeply respect each person and their choices. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, which informs my compassionate and comprehensive approach to therapy.
