“I had been with the same doctor for over 10 years. It was a small practice and he had as much time as we wanted for appointments. Unfortunately I had to switch and was very apprehensive about starting with a new doctor. After I met with Dr. Riehl, though, I felt listened to, understood, and empowered to be an active participant in my care.
Even though I'm sure she had a day full of patients she was totally present during our time. I often hear of the pressure put on doctors to run through patients. She didn't show any signs of that.
While this is the first time I've been to Kinwell I was very impressed with the efficiency, professionalism, and care with which I was treated by the whole staff. ”

This was my first meeting with Dr. Carly Riehl, so it was more of a get-to-know you meeting rather than an exam. Dr. Riehl is personable, friendly, relaxed, respectful, and willing to engage in dialog about my healthcare rather than dictate. She wasn't rushed. She stayed overtime to speak with me, eating into her lunch break. My experience with Dr. Riehl exceeded my expectations! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a Primary Care doctor.

The doctor was more concerned about my presence, as my child's parent, in the room than the actual reason of why we were there. She immediately wanted to talk about other things, such as her social life and ADHD meds, rather than the sickness my kid was experiencing. Then proceeded to ask my daughter if she "wanted me to kick her (me/her parent) out of the room." I understand Washington State laws and I understand my child is "officially" at the age where she can see a doctor by herself, but when it's apparent she feels awful and she's turning to me to help answer questions, this doctor has zero respect for parents or families. She also doesn't seem to want to listen to any concerns when they came from me, as a parent, about my childs' sickness.
