Dr. Feng Wang, MD

Primary Care Doctor
25031 Westheimer Pkwy, Ste 920, Katy, TX
When Dr. Wang was little, he wanted to become an electrical engineer like his father. However, his father suffered from a stroke right before he entered college, which changed his mind to study medicine. He worked a few years in internal medicine at Beijing Hospital after he completed medical training in one of the top medical schools in China. After he came to the United States, he worked for a few large research institutes. Dr. Wang completed residency training again and decided to work as an emergency room physician to treat patients who had life-threatening conditions and perform resuscitations. It required him to maintain an extremely broad range of clinical skills/knowledge and work in stressful environments however, it also came with the reward of saving lives. Unfortunately in the ER, there is not much Dr. Wang can do to help patients who suffer from a life-threatening disease, such as a stroke. Because of this, he started to become more interested in preventative medicine and thought, “why not take good care of hypertension and diabetes to prevent a stroke from happening?”. As a family medicine trained physician, he has observed how good primary care can help reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, which has also become a huge cost burden on patients. Hence, he decided to set up his own primary care clinic and work part-time a few days a week to serve his local community. He knows he will have to sacrifice his family time during the weekend and likely have a lower income, but his goal is to help patients live a healthier, happier life and avoid his father’s misfortune. Dr. Wang cares and listens to his patients, treats them as his family members, and strives to give patients the best care they deserve.
