After earning his medical degree and finishing his medical residency in Detroit, Michigan, he returned to CHI Memorial because he says he loves the “close-knit family” environment and how passionate and friendly the team members are. Growing up in Chattanooga, Dr. Hogstrom visited Louisville, Miss, each summer. During those visits, he was exposed to the lack of health care in rural communities as he watched his mother serve as a physical therapist. This led him to his initial interest in the healthcare field in his late middle school years, and he developed a passion for science and how he could use it to benefit his community. Dr. Hogstrom says it’s extremely rewarding to have an impact on his patients’ lives.
