A nice person with a sense of humor who took the time to listen and explain things in plain English. Office space was a bit rough, cramped, and needs some renovation. But this didn't affect the patient care.
I have been a patient of Dr. Steinmetz for several years. Although his practice is quite busy and wait times may sometimes seem excessive, when he is with you, you get a thorough exam and he LISTENS to you.
My husband saw her and felt she was ready to help .. She showed concern to his worries. He was pleased
The visit was great . My first time there and the doctor was Very nice and welcoming.
The visit was overall good, the Dr. Was really nice and accommodating I only had one issue. When we got there the waiting room was essentially empty except for one other person and full of empty seats. The reception desk called me and my Fiance up to the desk to ask a couple questions and one of there employees (with black inch thick eye makeup in a circumference around her eyes, seriously not trying to be rude it was a little scary) this employee while on a personal cell phone call (extremely loudly) went into the waiting room to the one chair my Fiance left her purse on and our sweaters, without saying excuse me or asking or saying anything at all took it upon herself to take my Fiance purse and sweaters and pick them up and move them to a different chair so she could sit in the chair we were using ... completely rude and disrespectful you don't touch a strangers purse or personal belongings never mind that she was petty enough to do that cause she wanted that chair!!! Uhh if you go to this Dr beware of the larger woman, blonde hair and clown face. Other then that everything else was really good!
Liked the doctor a lot. However, I wish I had advocated for myself better. If you are trying to get pregnant, you will get no medication. I'm regretting agreeing to that for some issues I'm dealing with. My tolerance for risk is higher than hers is, I guess. I was less happy that she really pushed for me to get off my depression medication when I've already discussed it with my gyno and my psychiatrist, and both agree that the risk is much lower than the risk of going off the meds. (And the risk isn't very high for this medication, actually.) I told her both doctors had agreed and that we have a plan in place, and she still recommended going off them several times after. Hated the wait and the difficulty of speaking with the office staff. Everyone spoke to me in Russian first. Waited about 45 minutes after signing in before they asked why I was there. Waited between 45min-hour before I was seen by the nurse/assistant. Then I was sent back to the waiting room for another 20 minutes before seeing the doctor in a different room. All that said, I'll go back happily. With a good book.
