Abigail Stewart, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Abigail! I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we work through things together. I’m passionate about helping people understand how their mind, body, and experiences connect, and how these shape our relationships with ourselves and others. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and comfortable being yourself. My focus I enjoy working with people navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and difficulties feeling connected to themselves. I’m passionate about helping people who feel stuck or overwhelmed better understand what they’re experiencing, develop healthier coping skills, and build stronger relationships with themselves and others. My approach My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized to each person’s needs. I draw from EMDR, IFS, DBT, and somatic approaches to help people better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools for managing emotions. I believe healing happens when we feel safe, supported, and connected to ourselves. My communication style My communication style is warm, friendly, and genuine, while also being honest and direct. I want people to feel comfortable being themselves and know they can be open with me without judgment. At the same time, I’m not afraid to challenge you, call out patterns that may be holding you back, and gently push you when I think it could help you grow. My journey to mental healthcare My own life experiences and experience as a client played a big role in my decision to become a therapist. I know how meaningful it can be to have someone create a safe space to help you understand yourself and what you’re going through. I want to help others feel empowered and confident in their ability to create meaningful change. Our first session Our first session is about getting to know each other and understanding where you are and what brought you to therapy.
