Getting to know Aimee Ismerio

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a first-generation Xicana. A lot of the women I work with grew up being the strong one in their family. The one who holds everything together, carries the expectations, and rarely had space to focus on their own needs. I understand how complicated family, culture, and identity can be. Many of my clients are navigating the pressure of being first-generation, setting boundaries with family, healing from past experiences, or trying to break patterns that have been passed down for years. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from traumatic experiences. In our work together, we move beyond simply talking about the problem. We focus on helping your nervous system release what it has been carrying so you can move forward with more clarity, freedom, and self-trust. *I've chosen to center my practice on the healing needs of women and the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently work with cisgender men, minors, or court-involved clients in order to preserve alignment with my clinical roots*

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
