In addition to clinical counseling, Akiya has extensive experience in behavioral health administration, regulatory compliance, and program development. She has served in leadership roles overseeing residential treatment programs and has expertise in Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) and Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) standards. This experience strengthens her understanding of the complex systems affecting children, families, and vulnerable populations.
