Getting to know Alexandria Hagler

Hi there, I'm Alexandria! My name is Alexandria Hagler, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, CA, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I primarily work with young and middle-aged adults navigating relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, goal-setting therapy modalities, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy principles. My approach My therapeutic approach consists of meeting the client where they are and working together to identify therapy goals. Ensuring that the goals are simple, measurable, action-based, realistic, and time-bound allows both me and the client to address their needs effectively and pivot as needed. My focus I focus on clients aged 20-45, both single and married, who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship conflicts with family or romantic partners. I provide services for both individual and couples therapy. My communication style My communication style is very open and direct. I aim to offer clients a space where they can truly be themselves and discuss topics they may not share with others. I keep my speaking parts to a minimum, allowing clients to use session time to express what they want to say. I also provide prompts to encourage clients to review their situations from all angles. My journey to mental healthcare I’ve been an LCSW for over seven years and have worked in various settings with diverse populations, including people experiencing homelessness, substance use addiction, long-term illness, medical trauma, loneliness and isolation, infidelity, divorce, and long-term relationship breakups. What I’ve learned is that no matter the population or setting, people are people, and everyone needs support. I am grateful that being an LCSW allows me to be that support for others in many different facets.
