Hi there, I'm Alexis! Hello, my name is Alexis Stringfellow, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am passionate about working with others to process patterns that no longer serve them and find new pathways to healing. My approach I employ a warm, person-centered approach while utilizing mindfulness, CBT, and coping mechanisms. My focus I am most comfortable treating anxiety, depression, codependency, substance abuse issues, attachment issues, grief, school issues, gender identity, LGBTQ+ identity, and women's issues. My communication style I provide a warm environment for clients to express themselves. I like to be a participatory element in the session, commenting on themes and trying to find optimal coping mechanisms. My journey to therapy I was attracted to becoming a therapist after my own journey in therapy and saw the value in doing deep work. I enjoy utilizing writing, art, and creative expressions in my practice, which therapy allows me to incorporate while helping others.
