Getting to know Alison Campbell
I have more than two decades of intensive training in mindfulness and meditation, which I believe is the foundation of my ability to be fully present with my clients. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, which has further deepened my understanding of human resilience and our unstoppable inclination to grow toward wellness, health, and balance. I firmly believe that we can heal and grow, no matter what obstacles we face. Together, my clients and I collaborate to fuel positive change and create better relational and mental health outcomes.
I have an extensive background in treating clients with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and histories of narcissistic abuse.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My clients can expect to have a treatment plan that is tailored towards their particular needs and areas of concern. I try to give both immediate relief through weekly focus discussions, often with homework, while we work on underlying, long-term trauma and attachment style issues over time.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Alison is a wonderfully thoughtful and experienced therapist. She can strike the right balance between teaching and listening, and she also knows when to challenge me with a new perspective or point out my biases / limiting beliefs. Since we started working together, she has supported me through important life decisions, has helped me build a stronger and more trusting relationship with my partner, and she has also helped me better understand and manage my anxiety (still working on getting rid of it, but I'll get there!!).

Alison is great, I appreciate her wide breadth of knowledge and style. She is personable, and while some people may prefer a therapist who does not give personal anecdotes, I find it relatable and enjoy our sessions very much. She sees me and has helped me grow.

I've been in therapy on and off for over 30 years and she's the best therapist I've ever had. She gives me actual useful advice and explains why my brain processes things the way it does. So not just the what I need to do but also the why. Also she's supportive when I fail and helps me to get back on track rather than just placating me. She is very genuine and real. She actually gives me hope that I can improve myself.

I have never had a therapist make me feel safe, seen, and heard quite like Allison does. I have grown so much more in a year than I have in my entire life with other therapists. She is so incredibly genuine and brings herself into sessions in a way that makes you feel like you're speaking to a close friend, and that makes you feel comfortable.

Quite honestly Alison is the best therapist I've ever had, I've been looking for someone like her for years. She totally "gets" me, she's smart, funny, and every session leaves me with something I can work on to better myself. She works with IFS which for me, is a revolutionary approach, allowing myself to embrace the whole being that I am while healing the parts that need attention. I'm so glad I asked Kaiser for therapy on the outside and that I happened to choose Alison.
