Hi there, I'm Allison! Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Allison Gentz, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California, Arizona, and Nevada, with over 12 years of experience working as a therapist and social worker. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, career difficulties, ADHD, substance abuse, trauma, autism, developmental delays, foster care, and the jail/prison population. I have also supported many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My approach My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. I use a straightforward approach to therapy, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and a solution-focused orientation. I believe that everyone has the ability to make changes with the right support and guidance. My focus I am open to working with adolescents and adults aged 13 years and older. I am most comfortable working with clients seeking help for ADHD, abuse (sexual, emotional, physical), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Spectrum Disorders, depression, generalized anxiety, grief, PTSD, panic, relationship issues, substance and alcohol abuse, and trauma. My specialties include adolescents (13-17 years old), adults, military/veterans, and women's health. My communication style I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek services for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
