Amanda Fisher, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
I am licensed in North Carolina with 10 years of professional work experience. I provide Christian-based therapy. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. My approach It is my desire that each client feels safe and respected while in my treatment. I believe that the client must be invested in therapy for it to be truly beneficial and therefore believe that this is a joint effort between the client and myself. I want to help each client develop and reach their own individual counseling goals, as there is not one approach or theory that works for every client. I come from a faith-based, Christian background, but will strive to honor my client’s personal spiritual values. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Equine Assisted Therapy (EAP), grief/loss therapy, and Trauma Therapy, and have received training in The Gottman Method for couples therapy. My focus I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples. I enjoy helping adolescents and adults resolve crises, develop better coping skills to continue in their healing, and allow space for clients to process areas that may be difficult to discuss with family or friends. I also enjoy helping couples to learn to communicate better, rebuild intimacy, and have a healthy marriage/relationship. It is my honor to be able to walk with people as they process grief/loss and/or trauma, and hopefully see resolution.
