Amonie Greene, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. It’s not what’s wrong with you, it’s what happened to you. Therapy isn’t cookie-cutter, so together we will create an intervention designed to foster healing and wellness. My approach Together we will take the journey to healing with approaches like CBT, Exposure Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. My focus I work with adults of all ages who are ready to take the journey to healing. My communication style I work hard to ensure that the therapy space is comfortable, confidential, and free from judgment. Without those things, it will make the healing process difficult. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and my Master’s in Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University. After graduate school, I completed 3,000 hours of clinical work experience under supervision for two years. Following those supervised clinical hours, I successfully sat for the ASWB Clinical Level exam. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker means I am passionate about mental health and focused on your environment, meaning I look at external factors that impact your situation. When I started graduate school, I initially planned to study Psychology until I came across the Social Work program. After extensive research, I decided that was the path I wanted to pursue. I learned I can help individuals with their mental health while taking a holistic approach to address any barriers they may face while working toward their goals. I absolutely LOVE being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and helping individuals reach the goals they’ve set for themselves.
