Hi there, I'm Andrea! I take the approach of honoring you and your story in a safe therapeutic environment to help you live your best quality of life. My approach My therapeutic approach is centered around empathy and understanding with evidence-based modalities. I honor each individual, their stories, life experiences, and struggles. I provide a safe, confidential, and comforting environment to help you reach the best outcomes. My focus I work with adults needing help with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and communication problems. In addition, I help those who have been subject to controlling and high-demand relationships, cult affiliation, and family members who have loved ones involved in cults. My communication style I provide a comforting, confidential, non-judgmental, and safe environment. My journey to mental healthcare I previously worked as a journalist, writing mainly about the disenfranchised in our society. In uncovering and writing about the damage of certain cults, I wrote a book and became involved with The International Cultic Studies Association. In journalism, one hears the pain of others and writes their stories but cannot offer healing tools. Thus, I made a career change so that I could actually help others. I earned my Master's in Psychology from Chapman University to support this transition. My goals for you Together, we will collaborate on reaching goals that help you achieve a better quality of life. My first session with you It isn't easy to start pouring your life out to someone you just met. Therefore, your first session will not be therapeutic, as it consists of getting to know one another. I will need to gather your history, circumstances, and hear what your presenting problems are.
