Hi there, I'm Andrea! Welcome, I'm Andrea Tovar, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in the Central Valley, currently working with clients via telehealth. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from National University. I am passionate about assisting others to achieve their best selves through therapy and support. My approach I often utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, as drawing on multiple theoretical modalities helps the client and me build an understanding of their reality. My focus Through years of experience, I have found that my approach and style are suitable for adults of all ages who may be dealing with various life challenges or barriers. My experience includes working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, or various life stressors, with the hope of helping them learn effective coping skills. My communication style My communication style is empathic, calm, and non-judgmental. I strive to be personable, with a dash of humor, in hopes of building rapport with individuals seeking support. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is based entirely on the goals and needs of the client. My first session with you The first session will consist of an assessment to explore how you are feeling currently. This time will allow us to build an initial connection and assist in providing direction for your goal setting.
