Psychotherapist
CO
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Boulder, Colorado. I help caregivers, helping professionals, and individuals navigating grief, burnout, and life transitions find relief through nature-based therapy, creative expression, and mindful connection. My approach to care is relational, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based. I draw from transpersonal therapy, somatic techniques, grief work, and ecopsychology to create an environment where clients feel safe enough to be curious about their pain and connected enough to move toward change. Therapy with me often incorporates creative practices (like brushmaking or collage), outdoor sessions, and body-based awareness to support processing and integration. Caregiving, grief, and trauma often disconnect people from their sense of self. I work to restore that connection by helping clients tap into their inner wisdom, reestablish boundaries, and develop sustainable coping skills that reflect who they truly are—not just what others need them to be. I work with adult clients who are caregivers, helping professionals, or individuals carrying unresolved grief, chronic stress, or trauma from systems of oppression. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, or as survivors of family or medical trauma. I also specialize in supporting those who feel isolated or overwhelmed by the emotional toll of caretaking roles—whether for aging parents, children with disabilities, or in professional service settings. I’m especially drawn to working with those who don’t see themselves represented in typical therapy settings and who seek a gentler, slower-paced, or creative alternative to talk therapy. You don’t need to be “doing well” to start—we begin with exactly where you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a calm, grounded, and nonjudgmental presence into sessions. My style is warm but direct—I hold space for your pain while gently challenging patterns that no longer serve you. You can expect sessions that are collaborative, spacious, and attuned to your pace. Whether we’re sitting on the floor, walking by the lake, or creating something with our hands, I aim to foster a sense of safety, respect, and mutual curiosity. I believe good therapy happens in a relationship that honors your wisdom, not just my expertise. My journey into this work began as a Certified Nursing Aide and family caregiver myself. Before becoming a therapist, I was on the other side of the couch—burned out, unseen, and unsure how to keep going. That lived experience led me to complete a Master’s in Counseling and specialize in supporting those navigating similar terrain. To serve people often left out of traditional therapy models—those whose care for others has come at great personal cost. My work is a way of honoring my own story and helping others carry theirs with more dignity and less isolation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Together, we’ll clarify what healing looks like for you—whether that’s better boundaries, deeper relationships, or just the ability to breathe more easily. I help clients set goals that are concrete but flexible, shaped by your values rather than external pressure. We track progress through reflections, nature-based rituals, body awareness, or creative projects—whatever feels meaningful for you. My job is to keep us rooted in your “why” while offering tools, insight, and support along the way. Our first session is spacious and grounding. We’ll begin with introductions and a conversation about what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask about what’s felt helpful (or unhelpful) in past support experiences, what feels urgent right now, and what you hope for going forward. There’s no pressure to dive into everything at once. We’ll move at your pace and start by building safety and trust. If it feels right, I’ll also introduce options for outdoor sessions, creative work, or mindfulness practices as part of your care plan.
