Hello, my name is Andrew Listvinsky, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s from the University of California San Diego. I believe in a flexible approach to therapy customized to each client’s needs. My areas of focus are trauma, dissociative disorders (DID/OSDD), and grief. My approach I most commonly draw from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and trauma-informed approaches. When helpful, I also use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive processing therapy. My focus I work with people struggling with trauma, major life changes, and those exploring their identity. I have experience with Veterans, individuals facing addiction, and caregivers for others. I have a special focus on dissociative disorders such as DID and OSDD. My communication style I strive to make therapy a place where clients feel safe to express themselves. I value feedback and encourage clients to share if they find our work helpful. I offer suggestions and education to support growth and aim to identify steps for progress. My goals for you In our first meeting, I work with clients to set initial goals and share how we might achieve them. These goals often evolve over time. Some clients have clear goals; others seek guidance to discover them. My first session with you In the first session, I outline expectations and review my policies.
